Mee Udang Razak
Kampung Jalan Baru, 11000 Balik Pulau, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Serves Mee Udang (shrimp noodles) in two versions: soup and stir-fried. The soup version has a sweet and sour broth with a nice undertone of prawn juice and a little spice, with noodles that absorb the tangy, sweet, and sour flavor. The stir-fried version is spicier with extra chilies and shallots, offering a condensed stir-fried flavor and smokiness from seared garlic and oil. The noodles are squiggly and absorb the broth well.

Tips & Info
The soup version is topped with fresh vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, tofu, green onions, fried shallots) and arranged squid/shrimp. The stir-fried version includes garlic, shallots, curry paste, chili paste, sweet and sour sauce, squid, shrimp, and vegetables. It's recommended to do a 'spaghetti twirl' for the noodles. This is a chilled-out, relaxing spot on the beach where time seems to slow down. | Dishes to try: Mee Udang (soup version), Mee Udang (stir-fried version)
