Place Profile
Euston
Euston Rd., London NW1 2RT, UK
The focus of the video, this is the original Euston station building for the Charing Cross Euston and Hampstead Railway (Hampstead Tube), designed by Leslie Green with oxblood tiled facades. It was abandoned for public use in 1915 due to unification of lines and low passenger numbers for its separate ticket hall, but its passages and lift shafts were repurposed for ventilation and a substation. It is now accessible via Hidden London tours.
